Recap: Hurley Northstars vs. Winter Warriors
The Hurley Northstars and the Winter Warriors squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Hurley Northstars had to settle for second. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 77-52 walloping at the hands of the Warriors. Hurley was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Winter apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2019.
Carter Petit was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds for Winter. Petit is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Malte Colliander, who scored 15 points along with three steals.
Hurley's loss dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Winter, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 15 games, which provided a massive bump to their 19-7 record this season.
Hurley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Winter, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 72-56 win vs. Drummond on the 2nd.
