Basketball Recap: Erath Comes Up Short

Erath was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They were outmatched by the St. Martinville Tigers and fell 61-29. Sadly, that's the third time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 69-17 last Wednesday.

Among those leading the charge was Tyren Syon, who went 5 for 7 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Kristian Batiste, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points.

Erath's loss dropped their record down to 4-28. As for St. Martinville, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-15 record this season.
