Softball Recap: Reese Wins Going Away Against Laker

Reese had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Laker on Thursday. The Rockets put the hurt on the Lakers with a sharp 13-5 victory. The Rockets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lakers, too.

Breelie Louis spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on one hit and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Grace Hall, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Kylie Soper was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-4.

Reese's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Reese will square off against Glenn at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Laker, they will challenge Millington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
