Baseball Recap: Lake Travis Comes Up Short

Lake Travis blew Westlake out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Westlake got their revenge. The Cavaliers fell just short of the Chaparrals by a score of 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cavaliers have suffered since March 1st.

Lake Travis' loss dropped their record down to 16-8-3. As for Westlake, their win bumped their record up to 21-4-1.

Looking ahead, Lake Travis will challenge Akins at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cavaliers are facing the Eagles at the right time seeing as the Eagles are stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Westlake, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Del Valle at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Chaparrals will also cruise into their next game with the timing on their side: the Cardinals will have lost seven straight heading into Tuesday's match.
