Basketball Recap: Zion Chapel Comes Up Short

Zion Chapel won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Monday. They were outmatched by the Kinston Bulldogs and fell 52-11. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 389th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 127th).

Zion Chapel's defeat was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Kinston, the win keeps them at an undefeated 14-0.

Zion Chapel won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pike Liberal Arts at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kinston, they will challenge Florala at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kinston's defense has only allowed 20.7 points per game this season, so Florala's offense will have their work cut out for them.
