Basketball Recap: Central Victorious

Central posted their closest win since February 28, 2025 on Thursday. They slipped by the Grove Ridgerunners 54-53.

Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ralph Stokes, who posted seven points in addition to seven boards and five steals. That's the most steals Stokes has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Robert Frazier, who scored five points and nine rebounds.

Central's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Grove, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-39 loss against Harding Prep on the 9th. As for Grove, they will face off against Miami at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
