Baseball Recap: William Blount Comes Up Short

William Blount was the 13-8 winner over West when they last played one another back in March, but their luck changed this time around. The Governors fell 9-5 to the Rebels on Monday.

William Blount's loss dropped their record down to 13-13. As for West, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 17-13.

William Blount and West could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. The Governors (ranked 91st) will meet Bearden (ranked ninth) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, West will challenge Hardin Valley Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (99 vs. 10).
