Basketball Recap: Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles vs. Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers
Shelbyville Central lost against Warren County back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Shelbyville Central Golden Eagles received a blow as they fell 65-48 to the Warren County Pioneers & Lady Pioneers. The Golden Eagles were down 53-32 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Leading Warren County to victory were Devin Fish and Keyton Reno. Fish went 5 of 8 en route to 17 points and five rebounds, while Reno posted 11 points in addition to five assists and three steals. Deashawn Adams was another key player, putting up eight points and nine boards.
Shelbyville Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-11 record this season. As for Warren County, they pushed their record up to 12-3 with the win, which was their third straight at home.
