Football Recap: Ridgeway Takes a Loss

Ridgeway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 48-0 loss at the hands of the Kirby Cougars. The Roadrunners lost against the Cougars in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 20-0 score last time.

Ridgeway's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Kirby, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgeway will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lakeland Preparatory on October 3. As for Kirby, they will square off against Millington Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
