Kaneland and Sycamore are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2021, but likely not for long. The Knights will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.

On Wednesday, Kaneland didn't have quite enough to beat Rochelle and fell 3-2.

Isaac Stoltzner and Eli Stoltzner scored both of the Knights' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, Sycamore entered their tilt with Crystal Lake South on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Gators get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Sycamore were the better team in the second half.

Kaneland's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 6-12. As for Sycamore, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.

Kaneland beat Sycamore by a goal in their previous meeting back in September, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
