Basketball Recap: Sulphur Bluff Comes Up Short

Sulphur Bluff lost against Avery back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Sulphur Bluff Bears took a blow against the Avery Bulldogs, falling 65-27. The Bears were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-10.

This is the second loss in a row for Sulphur Bluff and nudges their season record down to 12-17. As for Avery, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 22-12 record this season.

Looking ahead, Sulphur Bluff will head out to square off against Ector at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Ector's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games. As for Avery, they will host Neches at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
