They came out on top against the Families Instructing Students HomeSchool Hawks by a score of 54-46. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 145th, while the Hawks are ranked 460th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

New Jerusalem Christian Academy was led to victory by Elijah Marcellus and Donathan Edwards. Marcellus went 8 of 19 on his way to 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and three steals, while Edwards went 6 for 10 on his way to 14 points along with six rebounds and four steals. Marcellus has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Reid, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Families Instructing Students HomeSchool lost, don't look at Noah Howes. Despite the final result, he went 9 of 20 on his way to 24 points and seven rebounds. That was a full 52.2% of Families Instructing Students HomeSchool's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Bryce Welch was another key player, putting up two points along with seven boards and four steals.
