It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Delta Rabbits had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They snuck past the Patriots with a 60-56 win. The victory was just what Delta needed coming off of a 61-36 defeat in their prior contest.
Marcus Chase had a dynamite game for Delta, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Chase scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bronco Bundy, who scored 12 points along with seven assists.
Delta's win ended a nine-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-16. As for Providence Hall, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Delta is on the road again on Saturday and plays South Summit at 1:00 p.m. on February 17th. South Summitpresents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Delta in Utah (South Summit is ranked 31st, while Delta is ranked 97th). Providence Hall does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
