Basketball Game Preview: Peak to Peak Pumas vs. Eaton Reds

Peak to Peak is 0-3 against Eaton since February of 2021 but things could change on Saturday. The Peak to Peak Pumas will venture away from home to take on the Eaton Reds at 2:00 p.m. Peak to Peak is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.1 points per game this season.

Peak to Peak took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 65-55 win over Forge Christian.

Peak to Peak relied on the efforts of Elijah Eschmeyer, who went 6 for 8 en route to 16 points along with six boards and six blocks, and Tysen Burton, who went 9 of 15 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. Burton's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Cole Boonstra was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals.

Meanwhile, Eaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 56-41 to University.

Peak to Peak pushed their record up to 11-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Eaton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Peak to Peak came up short against Eaton when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 67-58. Can Peak to Peak avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
