Basketball Game Preview: Oak Harbor Rockets vs. Norwalk Truckers

Oak Harbor has won six straight games at home, while Norwalk has won six straight on the road dating back to last season, but those streaks won't matter much on Saturday. The Oak Harbor Rockets will welcome the Norwalk Truckers at 1:15 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Thursday, everything came up roses for Oak Harbor against Rossford as the squad secured a 53-25 victory. That looming 53-25 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Rockets yet this season.

Meanwhile, Norwalk strolled past Columbian with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 48-32. Given the Truckers' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 19th, while the Tornadoes are ranked 137th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Norwalk's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Oak Harbor, they are also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

Oak Harbor might still be hurting after the 48-26 defeat they got from Norwalk in their previous matchup back in January of 2023. Can Oak Harbor avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
