San Clemente was handed a heart-breaking two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Capistrano Valley on Thursday. The Tritons never let the Cougars get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Tritons, who have now won seven contests by 23 points or more so far this season.

San Clemente's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chloe Williams, who threw for 277 yards and three touchdowns while completing 76.9% of her passes. Charlotte Grush was Williams' top target, picking up 113 receiving yards and one TD.

San Clemente's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Cali Ethington was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three sacks herself. She is on a roll when it comes to sacks, as she's now posted two or more in each of the last three games she's played.

San Clemente's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Capistrano Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.

San Clemente will take on San Juan Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Tritons 14.4, the Stallions 15) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Capistrano Valley, they have already played their next game, a 38-0 defeat against Tesoro on the 6th.
