Softball Recap: New London Wildcats vs. Black River Pirates
It was a good run, but New London unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Friday. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Black River Pirates.

New London's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-5. As for Black River, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.
New London will look to defend their home field on Monday against Monroeville at 5:00 p.m. New London is on a four-game streak of home wins, Monroeville a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. As for Black River, they will head out on the road to square off against Northwestern at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
