Basketball Recap: Southern Guilford Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Southern Guilford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt an 86-49 defeat at the hands of the Oak Grove Grizzlies.

Oak Grove had a senior duo take command as Toot Clay dropped a double-double with 27 points and 23 rebounds and Brady Vallance shot 62% from the field en route to 24 points. Clay is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cam Cannady, who posted 12 points.

Southern Guilford's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Oak Grove, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Coming up, Southern Guilford will take on Triad Math and Science Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Grove, they will face off against East Surry at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
