Lumen Christi Catholic won the last time they faced Ovid-Elsie and things went their way  on Tuesday too. The Titans were the clear victors by  an  11-1 margin over the Marauders. Considering the Titans have won eight games by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Ollie Powers spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a  run (which was  unearned)  on one hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than eight  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Alison Furnas, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with two  runs. Another player making a difference was  Laney Barancin, who  earned one  RBI, two  runs,  and two  stolen bases.
Lumen Christi Catholic pushed their record up to 10-2 with the  win, which was their tenth straight  on the road dating back to last season. Those  road  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.6 runs over those games. As for Ovid-Elsie,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 2-5.
 Lumen Christi Catholic wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next  contest,  a  4-1  defeat against Columbia Central on the 24th. As for Ovid-Elsie, they have also already played their next matchup,  an  18-6  win against Mt. Morris on the 24th.
