Softball Recap: The Academy Wildcats vs. Weld Central Rebels
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against University, The Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the Weld Central Rebels 11-5. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.
Victoria Pearson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Pearson was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with a home run, five RBI, and five RBI.
In other batting news, Mackenzie Pearson was incredible, scoring a run while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Keara Pogue, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs, a triple, and a triple.

The Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 16-1 win vs. Skyview on the 27th. Weld Central has also already played their next matchup, a 12-0 defeat against Elizabeth on the 27th.
