Basketball Recap: Trigg County Comes Up Short

Trigg County lost a heartbreaker to Mayfield when they met back in December of 2014, and they left with a heavy heart again on Tuesday. The Trigg County Wildcats had to suffer through a 82-51 loss at the hands of the Mayfield Cardinals. The Wildcats have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Trigg County's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Mayfield, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Trigg County Wildcats take on the Livingston Central Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mayfield has already played their next matchup (against Fulton County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
