Volleyball Recap: Academy for Innovative Education Comes Up Short

Academy for Innovative Education was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes, falling 3-0. The Aviators were not able to make up for their loss to the Hurricanes from their previous meeting back in September of 2023.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-12.

Academy for Innovative Education's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they pushed their record up to 2-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Coming up, Academy for Innovative Education will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Franklin Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Somerset Academy South Homestead, they are headed away from home for the first time to face off against Coral Shores at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
