Basketball Recap: Faith Baptist Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Faith Baptist Christian Academy played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Central Christian Saints, falling 61-39. The Crusaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Faith Baptist Christian Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Skyler Shattuck posted six points and four steals. Shattuck continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Emree Mattingly also deserves some recognition as she posted her first block of the season.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Central Christian, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy and Central Christian will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time Faith Baptist Christian Academy sees the court they'll take on Crossroads Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Central Christian, their break will end when they face Gulf Pointe Latin at 5:30 p.m. on December 19.
