Baseball Recap: Freehold Boro Gets the Win

While Freehold Boro's win against Neptune wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Colonials narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Scarlet Fliers 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Colonials in their matchups with the Scarlet Fliers: they've now won three in a row.

Freehold Boro's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Neptune, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Freehold Boro will host Monmouth Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
