Volleyball Recap: Sterling's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Sterling waltzed into their contest on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They came out on top against the Seneca Golden Eagles by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

While Sterling won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 25-14.

Will Stubbs - Class Of 2026 paced Sterling's offense, picking up ten kills. Stubbs - Class Of 2026 got some help from Davis Holloway and his 21 assists. Holloway also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Jaydan Canlas-Mercado, racking up two apiece.

Sterling pushed their record up to 9-7 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Seneca, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Sterling will host Eastside at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Seneca, they will head out to take on Triton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
