After a string of nine wins, Pella's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 57-42 to the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dutch of the 58-45 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Pella's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-3. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pella will face off against Des Moines Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Des Moines Christian will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Pella surely won't give up without a fight. As for Dallas Center-Grimes, they will square off against Ankeny at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dallas Center-Grimes knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Ankeny likes a good challenge.
