Football Recap: Waynedale Golden Bears vs. Northwestern Huskies

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Waynedale). They walked away with a 44-32 victory over the Northwestern Huskies on Friday. The Golden Bears haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Waynedale found their leader in sophomore Maddox Kidd, who rushed for 139 yards and one score on only 13 carries, and also threw for 133 yards and one touchdown. Those 139 rushing yards set a new season-high mark for Kidd. Lane Troyer was Kidd's top target, picking up 62 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Waynedale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 259 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
