Softball Recap: Paradise Wins Going Away Against Pilot Point

Paradise's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Pilot Point Bearcats. Considering the Panthers have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

McKenna Snyder made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Brooke Limbaugh was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one double. Another player making a difference was Laura Siek, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Paradise kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Paradise is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Pilot Point, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-13.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Paradise is set to take on their familiar foe Boyd at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Panthers 2.4, the Yellowjackets 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Pilot Point will face off against rival Whitesboro at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
