Volleyball Recap: Starkville's Losing Streak Snapped at Three Games

Starkville can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Amory Panthers. That's more bragging rights for the Yellowjackets, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 17-25, 25-13, 25-12.

Karmen Robinson paced Starkville's offense, picking up six kills. Robinson got some help from Janiya Yarbrough and her ten assists. Yarbrough was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Starkville's victory bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Amory, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Starkville has already played their next match (against Caledonia), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Amory, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against New Hope on the 7th.
