Jovan McCants and Elijah Wood secure win for Kensington

Recap: Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER vs. Bodine

The Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 65-59 W over Bodine. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.

Kensington was led to victory by Jovan McCants and Elijah Wood. McCants scored 22 points, while Wood scored 23 points. McCants is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Deanthony Rodriguez was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

When it comes to explaining why Bodine lost, one person who can't be blamed is Alex Delisca. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Delisca has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nigeir Fisher, who scored 11 points.

Kensington has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. As for Bodine, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.

Kensington will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Maritime Academy Charter at 3:15 p.m. on February 12th. The timing is sure in Kensington's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Maritime Academy Charter has been banged up by ten consecutive losses on the road. Bodine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
