Football Recap: Center Hill Falls Short of Warren Central in the Playoffs + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Center Hill can now relate to. They took a blow against the Warren Central Vikings on Friday, falling 42-14. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi football rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Vikings are ranked 13th).

Nash Morgan produced another solid performance rushing for 189 yards and three scores on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 56 yards and one touchdown for Warren Central. Those 189 rushing yards gave Morgan a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Xavier Jackson, who rushed for 92 yards and one TD on only nine carries.

This is the second loss in a row for Center Hill and nudges their season record down to 5-6. As for Warren Central, they pushed their record up to 9-2 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Center Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Warren Central, they will face off against Lake Cormorant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
