Manzanola had to endure an 11-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 50-48 win over the Walsenburg Panthers on Saturday. The Bobcats' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Manzanola's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zane Lamge, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Mark Holland, who had 13 points.

Manzanola's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Walsenburg, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-5.

The future could be bright for both Manzanola and Walsenburg: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Manzanola will try to hand Aguilar their fourth-straight defeat when the two meet at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
