Softball Recap: Analy Comes Up Short

Analy and Berean Christian squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Analy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 9-8.

Sophia Pellini and Ryann Brown did some serious damage despite the final result: Pellini went 2-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Brown went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Another player making a difference was Maya Antonelli, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and one run.

Analy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season. As for Berean Christian, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-6-1.

Analy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Berean Christian, they will face off against Newark Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Cougars have averaged an impressive 9.1 runs per game this season.
