Volleyball Recap: Natick Comes Up Short

Natick lost against Brookline back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Redhawks came up short against the Warriors, falling 3-0. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Natick had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 25-23.

Mia Jones was nothing short of spectacular for Brookline: she had 17 digs and five aces. That's the most aces Jones has posted since back in September of 2024.

Natick's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Brookline, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

After both having extra time off, Natick and Braintree will shake off the rust and duke it out at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Brookline, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Newton South on the 19th.
