Cedar Valley is headed into the contest after thoroughly thrashing Springville: they outscored them in every quarter. Cedar Valley walked away with a 54-45 win over Springville on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Timpview faced Wasatch in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. Timpview fell just short of Wasatch by a score of 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Thunderbirds have suffered since January 30, 2024.

Timpview dropped their record down to 11-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Cedar Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season.

Cedar Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Timpview in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 58-52 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Timpview's Lina Ballin, who almost dropped a double-double on 18 points and nine rebounds.
