Softball Recap: Olive Branch Takes a Loss

Olive Branch was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against the Center Hill Mustangs, falling 20-7. The Conquistadors were not able to make up for their loss to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.

Alissa Jenkins made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 1-for-2. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Olive Branch's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Center Hill, with the win, they broke their eight-game losing streak and moved their record to 1-7.

Olive Branch will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Grenada at 7:00 p.m. on March 18th. Center Hill also won't see the field for a while: their next contest is against South Panola at 6:00 p.m. on March 18th.
