Football Recap: Montclair Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Montclair had lost three straight at home, but on Friday they dropped down to 4-5 to make it four. They were beaten by the Rowland Raiders 44-7. While losing is never fun, the Cavaliers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 771st, while the Raiders are ranked 297th).

As for Rowland, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 39.7 points this season.

Damien Arrieta was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 78 yards and three scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 43 yards and one touchdown. Those three rushing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bryce Johnson, who rushed for 56 yards and one TD on only seven carries.

Montclair has already played their next game, a 27-10 loss against Chaffey on the 31st. As for Rowland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 59-20 win against Don Lugo on the 31st.
