Softball Recap: Edgewood Comes Up Short

Edgewood fell victim to C. Milton Wright and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 13-0 to the Mustangs. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Rams' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Edgewood saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Valeria Gutierrez, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for C. Milton Wright, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-3.

While Edgewood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
