Basketball Recap: Malden Comes Up Short

Malden was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 66-58 to the Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Tornados of the 68-66 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2018.

Malden's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games dating back to last season and leaves them with a 1-3 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Malden and Stoughton will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Peabody Veterans Memorial, they will take on Bishop Fenwick at 6:00 p.m. on December 30th.
