Soccer Recap: Coolidge Comes Up Short

The matchup between Coolidge and Benjamin Franklin on Monday hardly resembled the 1-0 effort from their previous meeting. 2025 welcomed the Coolidge Bears with an 8-1 loss courtesy of the Benjamin Franklin Chargers. The Bears were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Chargers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Coolidge's goal came courtesy of Jacob Chavez, who's now up to two this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Coolidge and nudges their season record down to 1-4. As for Benjamin Franklin, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-4-1.

Coolidge didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 victory against Apache Junction on the 9th. As for Benjamin Franklin, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 3-1 win against ALA - West Foothills on the 8th.
