It was a good run, but Carl Albert unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Norman Tigers by a score of 4-3. The Titans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Carl Albert got a good showing from Eli Esparza, who didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Esparza has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Davonte Jones made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. Jacson Webster was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.

Carl Albert's defeat dropped their record down to 18-4. As for Norman, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carl Albert will be taking part in a tournament against MacArthur at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Norman, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Putnam City North at 3:00 p.m.
