Newport Harbor lost against Edison back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Newport Harbor Sailors took a 64-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Edison Chargers. The Sailors' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Newport Harbor's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Edison, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 12-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Edison beat Newport Harbor by a score of 64-53 later that day.
