Basketball Recap: Pyramid Lake Comes Up Short

Pyramid Lake lost against Virginia City two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Pyramid Lake Lakers were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 60-59 to the Virginia City Muckers. The Lakers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pyramid Lake lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Rylen Patrick, who went 7 of 10 en route to 21 points. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in field goal percentage (70%). Terrell Two Hearts was another key player, going 6 for 13 to rack up 12 points.

Pyramid Lake's defeat dropped their record down to 16-10. As for Virginia City, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-1.

Looking ahead, Pyramid Lake will face off against Smith Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pyramid Lake is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.4 points per game this season. Virginia City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
