Volleyball Recap: Walnut Grove Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Walnut Grove entered their tilt with Social Circle on Thursday with five consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Redskins. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in August.

Walnut Grove not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Social Circle between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-19.

Aniston Thompson paced Walnut Grove's offense, picking up ten kills. Thompson got some help from Bella Johnson and her 19 assists. Riley Bramblett controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Walnut Grove's win bumped their record up to 23-9. As for Social Circle, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-19.

Coming up, Walnut Grove will take on North Oconee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Social Circle will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' match: after the Warriors face off against Peachtree Academy, they'll take on Social Circle again at 5:00 p.m. on October 2.
