Baseball Recap: Keota Comes Up Short

If Keota was feeling good fresh off their 15-3 takedown of Leflore last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell 15-10 to the Canadian Cougars on Tuesday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cougars earlier this season, when they won 8-7.

Kalib West made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-6 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Kale Johnson was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Keota's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for Canadian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-10 record.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Keota will square off against McCurtain at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Canadian, they will take on Kiowa at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
