Volleyball Game Preview: Wiley Panthers vs. Crowley County Chargers

The Wiley Panthers will venture away from home to face off against the Crowley County Chargers at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Wiley came up short against Genoa-Hugo/Karval and fell 3-1. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Crowley County not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 19, 2024 (when they won 3-0). Everything went their way against Walsenburg as they made off with a 3-0 win.

Crowley County's got stronger as the match went on, holding Walsenburg to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-13, 25-9.

Crowley County's victory bumped their record up to 7-11. As for Wiley, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.

Wiley was able to grind out a solid win over Crowley County in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
