Albertville is 0-9 against Sparkman since April of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Albertville Aggies will head out on the road to square off against the Sparkman Senators at 4:30 p.m. Albertville will be strutting in after a win while Sparkman will be coming in after a defeat.
Albertville took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over Decatur.

Adison Pierce spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits and racked up eight Ks. Those eight strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, Henley Kilpatrick was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Aaron, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3.
Albertville hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most two strikeouts in three consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Sparkman is ranked highly in their home state and on Wednesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Walker Valley. Sparkman took an 11-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walker Valley.
Taylor Gilreath made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one double. Laila Watkins was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Sparkman's loss dropped their record down to 14-7-1. As for Albertville, their record is now 10-7.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Albertville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .352. However, it's not like Sparkman struggles in that department as they've averaged .333. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Albertville might still be hurting after the 13-3 defeat they got from Sparkman when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Albertville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
