Softball Recap: Burkeville Comes Up Short

Burkeville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They came up short against the Zavalla Eagles, falling 16-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 19-4 back in March.

Burkeville's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Zavalla, they moved to 4-4 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Burkeville will square off against rival Chester at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Zavalla is set to take on their familiar foe the Mustangs at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
