Soccer Game Preview: C.B. Aycock vs. Fike

C.B. Aycock hasn't had much luck against Fike recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Golden Falcons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Demons at 6:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

C.B. Aycock took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over South Johnston. The victory continues a trend for C.B. Aycock in their matchups with South Johnston: they've now won nine in a row.

C.B. Aycock's offense was hitting South Johnston from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Trinity Graham led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fike). They put the hurt on Smithfield-Selma with a sharp 10-1 win on Tuesday. Fike might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by four goals or more this season.

Fike has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 52 goals over those nine games. As for C.B. Aycock, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-6-1.
