Baseball Recap: West's Losing Streak Snapped at Six Games

West had lost six games straight , but after bumping their record up to 6-17 on Thursday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the East Bakersfield Blades by a score of 10-6. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Blades on Tuesday, they had to take a 14-4 loss.

Elliot Major spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and five unearned) runs on six hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Ethan Estrada was incredible, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Adrian Camacho, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

West was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

As for East Bakersfield, they now have a losing record of 10-11. Their defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

On East Bakersfield's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was ESIAH SANTIAGO, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base.

Coming up, West will venture away from home to take on North at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Bakersfield, they will welcome Tehachapi at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something the Blades surely won't give up without a fight.
